Weekly Roundup: March 2, 2012

Happy Friday! This past weekend was GlobeMed’s first ever GROW Training Retreat in LA – and it was a major success! Students from UCLA, USC, and UT-Austin came together with National Office staff and global health experts to train and prepare for on-site internships with their partner organizations this summer. One of their discussions was centered on their own personal “commitments to action” (pictured above). Check out Caroline Nguyen of GlobeMed at UCLA’s testimonial about the retreat. We’re looking forward to the Chicago GROW Training Retreat this weekend!

The co-presidents of GlobeMed at Columbia recently wrote an article in their university newspaper about the importance of collaboration and partnership.
