Community Programming

At GlobeMed, we know that we will not achieve global health equity without a strong movement and committed co-conspirators. If you believe that health is a human right, that systems of oppression need to be dismantled, and that people are the experts of their own experience, then you are a part of our community. We hosted a variety of programs that were open to all as a way for all of us to strengthen the global health equity movement. These programs remain available to all as recordings, to continue the global health equity movement.

Health Equity Speaker Series

From December 2020 to July 2022, we hosted a regular talk from someone in the movement from global health equity. We highlighted Black and oppressed people who have been systemically excluded from positions of leadership and expertise to showcase their areas of expertise and advice for building a strong movement, collectively. You can find recordings of past health equity speakers on our YouTube channel, or linked below in the Past Events section.

Recognizing all the different ways that stories can, and should, be told, we interviewed students and alumni from the GlobeMed network. Through these interviews and storytelling sessions, you’ll learn how the GlobeMed experience influenced their path and commitment to the global health equity movement.
